Well the moment of truth arrived, and there was much rejoicing, we got the CDs in, they look and sound AWESOME.
We were coasting towards our November 9th release date quite calmly, when all of a sudden we were taken by surprise.
It was very much like the final scene in Friday the 13th, we're like the girl in the boat, and Jason is like our CD.
Yes, we have hit an unexpected snag that has thrown us off our deadline.
The CD's are defective.
Fair enough, not quite as horrific as being dragged out of your boat by a partially decomposed lake boy, but it is slightly more annoying.
On one track, about 2 minutes 30 secs into the song, there is a dropout in the sound. That's it.
Not a very big defect, but a big enough one that when multiplied by a few hundred copies it made us hesitant to distribute the album.
So, the friendly folks making those CDs have offered to replace them all with CDs that play every last second of sound. Seems to be some freak occurrence with the playback that noone can quite understand or explain, but either way we're very happy that its getting sorted out for us. Thanks guys!
Only thing is, this means we will have to push back our release date...
Once we get the CDs back and test them all out, we'll have them released before you know it! (merely an expression, we actually would like you to know about it before we release it, so we'll keep you updated).
In the meantime, check out some of the songs previewed on our myspace or reverb nation pages! We also have our entire set from Gameday's Halloween Bash uploaded to our Youtube Channel, enjoy!
For those wary of hyperlinks...
I love the sound/feel of "Money" - Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!
